Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Communications Contractor to assist our Head of Marketing with public relations (PR) and analyst relations (AR) activities. This role is ideal for a proactive communicator who is adept at managing diverse tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Public Relations: Assist with the execution of our PR strategies. Draft press releases, media briefs, and other communication materials. Develop stories and bylines for thought leadership pieces. Help build relationships with key media personnel and arrange interviews.
• Analyst Relations: Support the execution of our AR strategy. Assist in preparing briefings and presentations for industry analysts. Coordinate meetings and follow-up activities with analysts to enhance our visibility and influence in the industry.
• Content Creation: Collaborate on content development for various platforms including social media, newsletters, and our website to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Reporting and Analysis: Monitor media coverage and analyst reports, providing regular updates to the marketing team on both quantitative and qualitative outcomes.
• Event Coordination: Assist in the organization of press and analyst meetings, including logistics, invitations, and content preparation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• Proven experience in PR and/or AR roles, preferably in a cybersecurity company or an agency cybersecurity practice.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling content.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, external partners, and media/analysts.
• Knowledge of the latest cybersecurity industry trends and techniques in public relations and analyst relations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, addressing any technical concerns or challenges they face with the SaaS product.
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business needs and tailor solutions using the product.
• Conduct product demos and training sessions to onboard new customers and enhance the product knowledge of existing users.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, liaise with the product development team for complex challenges, and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor customer usage and health metrics to identify potential areas of concern or opportunities for upselling and product expansion.
• Gather customer feedback on product features and functionality, and communicate this to the product and development teams.
• Stay updated with the latest product updates and features to provide accurate and up-to-date support.
• Develop technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to aid customers in self-service.
• Collaborate with the sales and product teams to ensure seamless customer experiences from pre-sales to post-sales support.
• Advocate for customers' needs and contribute to the continuous improvement of the customer success process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a technical customer support or customer success role, preferably for a SaaS product.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and troubleshoot software-related issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.

• Design both client-side and server-side architecture ensuring robustness and efficiency.

• Solid knowledge of multiple back-end languages like Golang, Java, and Python, as well as JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, and Node.js.
• Experience with various databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB) and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.

• Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and product overviews for use in sales meetings, customer visits, and trade shows.
• Create detailed technical documentation, whitepapers, case studies, and blog posts that explain product features and benefits in terms that are understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create and manage demo environments suitable for a range of scenarios including sales calls, trade shows, webinars, etc.
• Support the marketing team by providing technical insights that inform the development of marketing strategies and campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical marketing role within cybersecurity. Or, prior experience working in a cybersecurity practitioner role (such as security analyst, incident responder, etc.) with an interest in moving into a technical product marketing role.
• Deep understanding of the rules, laws and regulations, as well as cybersecurity frameworks that impact customers’ cybersecurity strategies and decision making.
• Proven ability to create and present technical content that engages and informs diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity products, market dynamics, and customer needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and persuasive manner.
